The Compendium

After the December 2025 issue, The Compendium is published 3 times a year.  Previously NASS published 4 issues per year for 32 years.  The NASS board made the decision based on the availability of articles to publish.  NASS wants to continue the high quality of The Compendium and thus has gone to publishing 3 times a year in April, August, and December.

Since many have opted for one and two year memberships, those have been converted to 4-Issue or 8-Issue memberships. The publication rates per issue remain the same. If any current member wants to know exactly what your new expiry date is, please contact me at sundial.society@gmail.com.

The Compendium is still available for digital download, CD-R discs, or book form (print).  The Digital and CD-R Editions of The Compendium provide articles in PDF format that can be read using Adobe Reader or other PDF applications such as PDF Complete. All Compendium editions receive access to the digital download that frequently contains software and powerpoint bonus features. Note that almost all of the software is made for PC-Windows devices.

NASS membership and subscription can be made for 4-Issues or 8-Issues, now using worldwide rates.

• The easiest way to enjoy The Compendium is to select the Digital Download edition.  Notification of its availablility will be sent via email.
• The Print Edition of The Compendium will be sent as a 6” x 9” (15 x 23 cm) paperback book averaging 78-80 (acid-free paper) pages three times a year.  The text and corresponding drawings are made for easy reading. The page size allows The Compendium to appear similar whether in Print, CD, or Digitial edition, with full pages viewing on most computer screens without scrolling. Note: The Print Ediition requires your (home or mobile) telephone number in case of delivery issues.
• The Digital edition is also available on a CD-R disc.  Use the "CD" selection below and it will be mailed to your address.

Membership Rates

Our members outside of North America have paid an additional charge for shipping the print edition. With our new format and printer, The Compendium will actually be printed at different locations around the world, with a general reduction in cost of shipping. As of 2021 NASS  moved to a single worldwide membership fee structure. Whether you subscribe to the Print, CD or Download edition, the US Dollar cost of membership will not depend on where you live. And that cost will be the same as North American members currently pay.
