- Description:
- A large horizontal 6 1/2 ft. x 4 ft. dial in bronze A child figure stands, casting a shadow on the sundial. Child's hands may have held a gnomon rod, now missing. There is a traditional gnomon fixed to the dial plate. Dial and figure are placed atop a granite pedestal. Figure and sundial: approx. 36 x 20 x 20 in. Both the figure and the sundial are set on a bronze plinth, which in turn rests on a granite pedestal. The granite pedestal is at the center of a long granite bench.
