- The dial is located at the Morristown Frelinghuysen Arboretum, near the bus parking. The Arboretum fosters and develops public awareness, knowledge and enjoyment of horticulture and the natural world.
- Description:
- This analemmatic dial is approximately 20 feet wide by 12 feet long, constructed of reinforced, high strength cast-in-place concrete. Showing both Standard and Daylight Savings Time, the dial uses a dual ring of twenty-eight circular hour markers. Each hour marker is a 12 inch diameter precast paver flush with the surrounding landscaping with an aluminum Arabic hour numeral on top. The 7-foot walkway is cast-in-place concrete with aluminum Arabic numerals for the months. The dial was the Girl Scout Gold Award Project of Alexandra Levoyer.
