- Description:
- This red brick analemmatic is an ellipse 18x12 feet (6x4m). It has concrete stone inlays for the zodiac walkway and hour stones from 5am to 7pm in black lettering. At the edges are markers for the cardinal points and along the east-west line are the seasonal points (Bailey Points) for determining the direction of the rise and set of the sun. This is part of many new school designs done by Grimm-Parker Architects who enjoy including a sundial on school grounds.
- Inscription:
- Just below the south point of the walkway is the instruction "Stand on the Month, Your Shadow Tells the Time." A plaque by Grimm-Parker Architects in front of the sundial explains how to use the dial and provides a QRC code for more information.
